DOÑANA IN 6TH GRADE

New  work in groups!!
In this case, pupils have been  researching about flora and fauna of the different habitats in which Doñana is compounded, and then they have created an ecosystem together.
It is easier than students create individual habitats instead of an entire ecosystem.  So, we have created our own Doñana´s  habitats and the students really enjoyed it. Together we discussed the importance of meeting our living things’ needs and a healthy environment.
Pupils have represented a met zones such as Matalascañas Dunes (Torre Carbonero), marshes (Marismas) , reserve (Coto) and the beach  "Torre la Higuera" …
A few weeks later they have had to expose their model in the "Science week".

OSCAR WILDE in the BOOK DAY 2019

This year we have worked on Oscar Wilde in the Cultural Week and the Book Day, probably the best Irish writer ever. The proposal included classroom activities and short tiered activities to expose the other students what they worked at class. We learnt a briefly biography of the author and every level focused on scenes of his most famous works. If you are willing tocheck out your knowledge, click here

We also aproacched to Ireland, another English speaker country, and its culture and customs. In English and Music classes we learnt about Molly Malone and in Physical Education, we practiced three original sports from that island, Hurling, Galeic Football and Road Bowling.

Michael Vontsolos, our language assistant, guided the presentation of works with a short speech about him and with the help of pre-school students. You can check out our final performance clicking here or on the picture below.

KNOWING SPAIN in 3rd GRADE

Along our last unit, we have learnt different types of landscapes and some features from our environment in Science classes. Knowing the main mountains and rivers from our country is very  important, so why don´t we learn them in a funny way? We have made a physical map of Spain using newspapers, paper towel and  white glue with our own hands!

WHERE I LIVE, FIRST GRADE

At the end of the Social Unit "Where I live", the students of first grade have built a small street map. They have modeled with clay different things that used to see in their street like houses, traffic lights, road signals, parks and cars. A funny and creative way to learn about the world around us.
