HOW TO... from Emily

Hello Friends,
Emily here! Many of our students know I love to cook - and eat. My favorite way to learn about different cultures is through ... you guessed it, food! With that being said, I feel one of the best ways to exchange cultures is thorough experimenting with the cuisine. For that reason, I would love to share with our students and their families some of my favorite typical “American” recipes.

American cuisine is a beautifully chaotic combination of foods from around the world made into our own renditions. This is because the United States of America is incredibly diverse and home to people from everywhere and anywhere in the world. I want to share these classic recipes with our students and their families so that everyone can have a taste of the madness!

I will share one recipe monthly, all of which will be simple, delicious, and fun to make together as a family. If you recreate the recipes please send a photo - I would love to see your creations!

Click here and enjoy the video!

If you want to learn vocabulary about Halloween, click here to get a very interesting document made by Emily Bleeker, our Language Assistant. Good job Emily! 😃

Finally, here you are some pictures from that day.

AULA DJAQUE

Hello everyone

I would like to present the educational innovation program called “AULA DJAQUE”, in which our 5th grade students have participated. This program exposes the benefits of teaching chess to students as an educational tool. For this reason, the school is the propitious place for their learning and practice. Chess as a game, sport and logical-mathematical activity is a hobby that encourages students to develop mental skills and abilities, it provides them with reflective and analytical thinking that, applied to daily life, improves concentration, reasoning and logical calculation.

In our program we have included the development of chess material with recyclable elements in the “arts & crafts subject” and its learning through digital media in the computer room, among other things. Teacher Iñigo López
